Publications

My first paper as first author was on the settling velocity of maerl beds in the Journal of Sedimentary Research (2014). Two papers on the critical bed shear stress and sediment mobility of maerl in Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science (2017b, 2017a). As a marine conservation side project, I have made a documentary about maerl beds with more information at Pacifist Pirañas Documentaries. I am a committee member of the “Women in Coastal Geoscience and Engineering” and a coauthor on a paper on gender diversity in the Springer-Nature social science journal “Palgrave Communications”. The fifth publication is a book chapter (2020) in the second edition of “Seafloor Geomorphology as Benthic Habitat ” The most recent publication is about the work of the Challenger Society for Marine Science’s Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity and Accessibility working group in the journal “Oceanography”. As part of an oral history project entitled “Unorthodox: LGBT+ Identity and Faith”, I have contributed a book chapter entitled “The Worm in the Hand.” More information can be found on Google Scholar.

Reviewer

As a reviewer, I have reviewed three papers of the journal Sedimentology (Wiley), two for Geo-Marine Letters and three for Continental Shelf Research. I am an Associate Editor (AE) for the Diamond Open Access (DOA) journal Sedimentologika and have to date completed one assignment as AE.
